Adult Education
Adult Education on Sunday Mornings
Classes are held during the school year on Sunday mornings at the Clifton Campus 9:30-10:20 am. and the Fairfax Campus 9:30-10:30 am. Classes are led by a pastor, lay leader, or guest speaker. Topics include Bible study, social and ethical issues and other subjects of interest.
Adult Education at the Clifton campus takes place in the first part of the fellowship hall. Barrett Cain, who has served as an ordained pastor of the ELCA and is presently a member of Lord of Life, offers a special class called “The Paradigm of Diversity in the Church.” This adult forum is about exploring a diversity paradigm as it relates to the church and how we as Christians are called to be an example (Light) that serves as a pattern and model for the world to follow. In the forum relationships within a diverse culture and how the church is called to lead the way will be discussed.
Adult education at the Fairfax campus takes place n the parlor. All are invited to join a study on Scripture led by Don and Ruth Williams.
Bible Studies
Are you seeking spiritual guidance and direction in your life? Does God really exist? What is the purpose and meaning of life? What is the origin of the human race? Can we receive eternal life after death? How can we be forgiven of our sins and receive the favor and blessings of God?
We urge you to consider why the Bible is the best source of spiritual guidance and direction. Christian doctrine, found in the gospel of Christ, can answer your questions about spirituality and the meaning of life. The teaching of Jesus can lead you to a fulfilling spiritual life and hope for eternal life.
All people everywhere at some time in their lives recognize that they have spiritual needs. They need guidance and direction to find hope for eternity and answers to the questions of life.
Lord of Life provides a number of opportunities to mine the treasures of scripture. Bible studies are offered from an early morning time of 6:00 am, noon day offerings, and evening classes.
