Ongoing Opportunities:
- Adopt-a-Highway: Join Lord of Life's team in cleaning up three roads in our community quarterly.
- Blood Donor Program: Twice a year the bloodmobile comes to LOL. Give the gift of life!
- Aluminum Recycling: Join Lord of Life in recycling aluminum to benefit projects that help people in need.
- English as a Second Language: Teach or help newcomers to our community learn English.
- FACETS: (Fairfax Christian Emergency and Transitional Services, Inc.) - Join Lord of Life's FACETS team in preparing and delivering nutritious meals to the homeless population of Fairfax County.
- FISH: (For Immediate Sympathetic Help) - Join Lord of Life's FISH team in providing temporary emergency help to people in Fairfax County.
- Hypothermia Shelter: Help take care of homeless people who shelter at LOL in Fairfax for one week each winter.
- Katherine Hanley Family Shelter: Dedicated Lord of Life volunteers teach job search skills and financial planning to homeless residents of the shelter. Join LOL's team teaching financial and job skills.
- Lutheran World Quilters: Join Lord of Life's quilters in sewing quilts for victims of disasters all over the world
- NOVACO: (Northern Virginia Coalition of Churches) - Join Lord of Life in assisting victims of domestic abuse who are in transition from life in a shelter to independent living.
- Shepherd's Center of Fairfax-Burke: Help older adults continue to live independently in their own homes.
- Village of Hope: Sponsor a child in the Village of Hope School in Haiti. Go with a team from Lord of Life to build them a shower house, plant them a vegetable garden, paint their classrooms, teach in their Vacation Bible School.
